LUTAN FYAH + High Grade Band (Jam/H)

lutanfyah

Lutan Fyah (born Anthony Martin, 1975, Spanish Town, Jamaica) is one of the greatest performers of today”s conscious reggae music. He recorded his first songs in the studio of Buju Banton and worked together with such artists as Luciano, Anthony B, Yami Bolo, and Jah Mason on their records. Thanks to his unique voice and singing style, he soon became very popular, and his singles can today be considered as the well-known conscious reggae anthems of dancehalls all around the world (e.g. Save the Juvenile, Iniquity Worker Congregation, Rasta Still Deh Bout, Woman of Principle, Fire in the Barn, Crystal Clear stb).

His lyrics mostly cover social disparities and the corruption of political systems. Similar to Capleton, Anthony B and Sizzla, as a faithful rastaman, Lutan Fyah also belongs to the Bobo Shanti line. So far, he published eight albums and has been a regular performer on the biggest reggae festivals in Europe, Jamaica and in the USA as well. During his tour this summer, he will be backed by the Hungarian High Grade Band on some concerts in Europe, the young and talented members of which constitute the most authentic Central-European backing band these days.
