Wintersplash #8<\/strong> – the winter Seasplash parties are keeping Zagreb warm for eight years in a row! The starting episode is set on Friday, January 30th, at the Sirup club, and for the occasion we’re bringing you the world-renowned French live dub act Brain Damage (Jarring Effects).<\/p>\n

By staying hyperactive since 1999., Brain Damage<\/strong> managed to become “enfants terribles” of the the global Dub scene, all the while making a crucial connection between their studio material and explosive live outbursts. During the first dozen years they’ve been playing as a duet, impressing many audiences with their live act, the result of which are five Hammerbass and Jarring Effects releases. These concept-albums are famous for breaking the very boundaries of style that try to keep them confined and defined.<\/p>\n

Sailing out of the framework of the French Dub scene, Brain Damage<\/strong> forged strong liaisons with numerous artists like Zion Train, Alpha & Omega, Vibronics, Mohammed El Amraoui, Vuneny and Black Sifichi, playing along with different cultures and languages. As the bass-player.left the band in 2011., Martin Nathan continues the project on his own, taking new directions and collaborating with High Tone (High Damage – 2011\/2012), while the last album “What You Gonna Do?” (Jarring Effects, 2012) is flavored by the return to the very roots of British-Jamaican Dub from the band’s origins.<\/p>\n

The last time Brain Damage visited Zagreb was at the 2nd Wintersplash in 2009., and the last time we’ve seen them play in Croatia was at the 12th Seasplash Festival, teamed-up with Vibronics.<\/p>\n
