At 14. Seasplash Festival, visitors will have a chance to visit the international Artbeat \u00a0sticker exhibition<\/strong> in which artist from all around the globe participated. Also, the exhibition is a main part of a newly Artbeat sticker museum located in Valpovo (Croatia).<\/p>\n Street art stickers, slaps or just stickers, as so called \u201epast up\u201c posters, represent one of the original forms of street art, which is available and very efficient in message transfer of an author or artistic expression in public space.<\/p>\n Acting Like A Child, whose members are artists CROSK<\/strong>, SMAO MAO<\/strong>, REBUS<\/strong>, QVIK16<\/strong> and MO\u0160MISLIT<\/strong>, is an art collective which organized Artbeat exhibition. The collective promotes art stands, urban interventions, street art (stickers, posters, graphics, graffiti and murals) and art in any form and any place. An idea that brought them together was to stop the negative trend of the public misconceptions that street art is only about destroying public property and walls, to show that that is art in all of its aspects which can affect public consciousness and awareness and also to show how much effort artist have to put in that kind of artworks. The visual message they want to carry on to ordinary people is subliminal perception and accepting of art. So far this collective was well accepted in Croatia and behind them is extremingly successful collaboration with well known street artists from 80 different countries in the world and more. They collaborate with Art Museum in Osijek where the famous Bristol street artist Inkie left his masterpiece in the garden of a museum, as well as in the streets of Osijek.<\/p>\n Artbeat promotes street art and street art culture as an urban phenomena. Once we talked about art in public spaces and streets only as a graffiti, but now all that is called just street art, especially in the media. Something that was, not so long ago, associated only with a specific subcultures and vandalism, is now an important part of art and culture and that is really just an amazing terminological shift in our society. As we can see, we are talking about some really interesting artistic and social phenomena of a new wave of street art.<\/p>\n Stickers are considered to be a variety of graffiti culture because of their role in leaving a mark or a signature in public space. The artists are using different techniques to create \u00a0this kind of stickers and posters, such as hand painting, using templates, linocut, woodcut to screen and digital printing, which makes it widespread medium of expression.<\/p>\n This unusual exhibition, which is one of the first of its kind in our region, attracted many street artists of the world who send their best art. The exhibition attracted artists from more than 80 different countries like South Africa, Mexico, Brasil, USA, all across Europe to Phillipines and Japan, basically from all around our globe!<\/p>\n Artbeat sticker museum, that will be opened in September this year, emerged as a collaboration of joined forces and combined ideas of two associations, Acting like a child (Osijek) and Revolution (Valpovo).<\/p>\n Acting like a child did the main part in the organization of the first international Artbeat sticker exhibition in this region. After the first exhibition of Artbeat, there were three following exhibitions held in different locations in Osijek, whereas Revolution association did the main part of its musical part of the exhibition program and also, helped with the organization.<\/p>\n The collaboration continued through four Artbeat exhibitions and naturally the idea of this, one of a kind stickers museum was brought to life. They came up with an idea to turn the space of \u201eKlub mladih Valpovo\u201c (KMV), which was used by Revolution association, to an Artbeat museum. Revolution association used that space mostly for conducting its own ideas, programs and activities which included young people connected with music and art. KMV was founded 12 years ago by a young local artist and street art fan, \u017deljka Fuderer Levak (Elastic.heart and Mo\u0161 Mislit), who gathered few young people to transform the space of, at that time, newly created association for youth.<\/p>\n In 2008. the squad founded Revolution association, and it is considered to be a new era of the KMV. They continued their collaboration with \u017deljka and street artist Crosk from Osijek.<\/p>\n The beautiful thing about stickers culture and street art in general, which actually connected and influenced all of them, is that no matter how you express yourself creatively you can be part of something greater than yourself. That is what Artbeat sticker museum really is about in its form \u2013 creating something that will vividly last and stand in this tiny little region. More importantly, not for them only, but for the next generations to come. Hopefully, the museum will expand its collection and organize travelling Artbeat exhibitions in different cities and regions and influence young artist to join this amazing culture!
