The top reggae, dub, ska and punk rock artists arriving in Pula next July, led by the legendary trombonist Vin Gordon<\/strong>, with his The Real Rock Band<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Vin Gordon & The Real Rock Band<\/a><\/h3>\n
The legendary Vin Gordon, aka Trommie, aka Don D Junior, is Jamaica’s master trombonist, played through the golden years of Jamaican music – through ska, rocksteady and on to working with some of the most iconic reggae artists in the world. Vin’s life in music started in the early 60\u2019s at the legendary Alpha Boys School of Music where he took up the trombone. Soon mastering his sound and earning a reputation as a player, he started recording at Coxsone Dodd’s Studio One in 1965 recording for The Wailers alongside great musicians such as The Skatalites’ Roland Alphonso, Tommy McCook, Jackie Mittoo, Lloyd Brevett, Lester Sterling, Bobby Ellis and many more.<\/div>

Vibronics meets Conscious Sounds<\/a><\/h3>\n
\n

The collaboration between Vibronics and Conscious Sounds is a truly bold statement and a great sign for the state of dub and reggae music scene! With a unique personality and a striking collection of tracks under their belt, these talented artists are now celebrating 50 years of dub with an album that explores the influential tones of the genre, from its beginnings in the 1970s, to its latest incarnations in the 2010s.<\/p><\/div>

Citizen Fish<\/a><\/h3>\n
Citizen Fish is a band that needs no introduction: with their edgy blend of ska and punk rock, these driven lads are often regarded as pioneers of the genres, ever since their debut in 1990. Many years later, they are still up and running, playing old favorites as well as creating new music. After a relatively short split, the band members joined forces again in 2011, as they started touring and releasing records again. Their music is found on iconic labels such as Fat Wreck Chords, and Alternative Tentacles, while their members have previously been involved with cult punk rock projects like Subhumans and Culture Shock.<\/div>

Pitch Black<\/a><\/h3>\n
\n

Pitch Black set out to make waves within the independent music scene with their driven, direct and uncompromising blend of soundscapes, textures and dub. Their music seamlessly blurs the lines between genres and various influences, while remaining direct and extremely accessible, as shown on their seminal releases, such as Futureproof, the project\u2019s 1999 debut album that truly stands the test of time, as the band implies!<\/p><\/div>

Culture Shock<\/a><\/h3>\n
\n

Culture Shock is a truly revolutionary band within the ska-punk genre. Although the band initially lived very short, they went on to play a massive role in influencing the ska-punk-dub-reggae community! They share a history and some members with their \u201ccousin\u201d band, Citizen Fish, as well as a fondness for great melodies and lots of energy. The band is doing better than ever and they are back in full blast, as they just released a brand new LP through Jello Biafra\u2019s Alternative Tentacles label!<\/p><\/div>

Waitapu<\/a><\/h3>\n
Waitapu set out to craft an earnest and personal sound, standing out as one of the most innovating dub bands in the Balkan region. Their love for old school dub influences and their background in genres as diverse as punk and stoner rock marks the sonic coordinates of the project and help the band gain a broad perspective and a very dynamic attitude. The band is about to release a brand new album, which will be released in the spring of 2017 and presented right here at Seasplash Festival.<\/div>

Black Star Dub Collective<\/a><\/h3>\n
Black Star Dub Collective formed in the cold Winter of 2009\/2010 with a desire to express their love of soundsystem culture. Forming in Manchester\u2019s vibrant squat scene on Rusholme\u2019s Dickenson Road the band\u2019s line up snowballed into a full blown collective of members and participants who wanted to take their love of dub\/reggae\/roots and dancehall music to the next level. As well as wanting to sound their musical influences BSDC wanted to voice their social and political concerns to a wider audience combining bass heavy tunes with a tuff and radical political message.<\/div>

Conscious Youth<\/a><\/h3>\n

\n

Forming from members of Black Star Dub Collective and Manchester\u2019s dub organizers Dub Reaktion, Conscious Youth began with the primary aim of putting out political digital dubs to express their discontent with the social and political situation across the world.<\/p><\/div>
