DH is a musical-loving human that has traveled the globe spreading musical joy and continually sniffing out records.He began DJ’ing and fumbling around with drum machines and samplers around 1996 and in 1999 he grew his first beard.
A seasoned underground veteran on the International DJ circuit calling Zagreb home. He spent extended periods of time during his career touring and producing with established artists and kept a steady volume of solo gigs and residencies happening. Regularly embarking on wild record recovery excursions, he loves to play in that area of “ not so common records “ on the turntables. Whether it’s Jazz, Latin, Reggae, Hip Hop, or beyond.
Hairy has enjoyed playing and sniffing records in New Zealand, UK, Japan, France, Holland, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia & Hercegovina, and Macedonia. During Balkan life he worked with Koolade, Kandzija, Kranksvester, Dr Smedi Secer, Edo Maajka, Pendrek, Magellano, Jan Kincl, Ishfaq, and as General Woo’s tour DJ for 4 years. On further international journeys, Hairy has supported, opened, and shared the stage for GZA (Wu-Tang) Sean Price, J-Live, One Be Lo, Statik Selektah, Edan & Patton Locke, DJ Format, Florian Keller, Rob Life, Mambo Chick, Zajazza, Kamui Sumida, Kenchiro Nisihara, Kazahaya, Grandmaster DLT, King Kapisi, Tha Feelstyle amongst a plethora of others. His DJ sets elegantly show the depth of his record collection and the variety of genres he can work in. A true sound curator adjusting to the environment and the moment. In production as a multi-instrumentalist, Hairy shows his understanding and roots in jazz and hip hop as well as disco and house music sensibilities.
