Bass Culture Sound System (ZG) was founded in 1999, when for the most people their name already associated on the distant past and the legendary third album of Linton Kwesi Johnson. At that time, the rare ones considered the bass culture as a permanent origin of the different style of club music rooted in the Caribbean soundsystems. Bass Culture encompassed the legacy of the old school roots-reggae and the innovations that the producers of electronic dub and jungle were bringing on the scene every day. The expansion of bass culture began with monthly residences in Močvara and SKUC, and among them, written in the chronology of the oldest reggae crew in Zagreb, happened the performance at the first Seasplash.
