3 female vocals on Dr.obi’s riddims is a new combination specially available for festivals and sessions 2023. With a lack of female energy on reggae scenes bringing 3 powerful reggae female rebels Anja G, Roo T and Sistah Tena. They are on the mission to represent Croatian female power on the reggae scene and parties! With meaningful messages from female MCs in the combination with Dr.obi’s own production from roots to digital and steppers this collaboration is a guarantee of a original experience!
DR.OBI started his musical journey in 2005. with his still active Jahstice sound. from 2005. He is a member of many dub and reggae projects in Croatia. His audio engineering skills he learned as a member od Digitron Sound System and band Bamwise Today he is working as an audio engineer for many Croatian bands, also he is a part of Pozitivan Ritam (that organizes Dimensions and Outlook festivals) and he is also a main sound guy for Seasplash festival. In 2017. he is starting his own production in collaboration with Anja G and they are starting their own label Amplifyah Music in 2018. On Amplifyah Music he releases first Croatian riddim EP “Bun Dem” in collaboration with Queen Omega, Anja G and Sistah Tena. Dr.obi is often host of many audio workshops and audio engineering workshops. He is actively working on education and collaboration with many young artists from region.
ANJA G is a reggae singer and songwriter from Croatia. With Dr.obi she performed on many dub and reggae parties and festivals in the region (Outlook festival, Seasplash Festival, Dub Lub in Slovenia, Love and Rage in Italy, Contact in France, Escape the City, Membrain Festival, Zion boska, Roots in the Woods in Slovenia, Dub Universum in Germany, Dubova Psychoza in Slovakia, Reunited festivan, Pandemonium festival and many more). Her first official Ep with two songs “Bang! Bang!” and “Raggamuffin” is released on Amplifyah Music. In 2018. Anja G releases her first vinyl “Wrong System” with Japanese producer Dub Kazman for Woodland Records. Soon after she released “Corruption” with Kai Dub on 12″. Since then she made many collaboration with artists from around the world!
Roo T is a young singer based in Zagreb. She started her musical journey with playing flute and other instruments, taking her through many different genres of music. She first picked up the mic on a soundsystem in 2019. and after many sessions in local places like Masters and Medika she got to preform on festivals like Seasplash, Escape the city and Roots in the woods alongside Digitron, Mexican Stepper, Roots Daughters and other artists.
Sistah Tena is one of the three singers (TNT vocal force) of the Zagreb reggae / dub / dancehall band One Dread. She has been playing music all her life, and she has been performing with the band One Dread since 2012. After a few years of experience, she joined the band Brain Holidays with whom she recorded one album (System error, 2017). Her love and passion for reggae and dub music started 15 years ago when she discovered her favorite bands such as Black Uhuru, Steel Pulse, Third World, and of course MC legends such as Sista Nancy and Lady G. Sistah Tena has a great experience in performing at various festivals (Seasplash Festival, OverJam Festival, The Outlook Festival, Reunited Festival, Hoomstock, etc.). She did a few collaborations with Amplifyah Music, and she was part of the first released Croatian riddim EP “Bun Dem” along with Queen Omega and Anja G. She is currently working on the first album of One Dread and she is the author (music & lyrics) of the released song Mr. Nicey Nice. Besides music career, she works as an art historian and curator in the Spot Gallery in Zagreb.
