Bamwise is a six-piece band from Zagreb, Croatia, a collaboration of five musicians and a VJ gathered around an idea of playing electronic dub music. They are a combination of three synths, drums, bass, guitar, vocal, lots of effects, video projection and main idea of inspiring people to listen, think and act for themselves. Musically, they bring both “synthetic” and “acoustic” elements into a raw sound, with an accent on drum and bass as the original recipe for dub reggae music. Their music is inspired by Jamaican dub and reggae artists, but taken to a new level by combining various elements of modern electronic music, especially by following recent UK & French dub productions and mixing it with their own take on underground bass music. They are recording new material for their debut album which will see a vinyl release on Croatian label PDV in early autumn.
