Dr.Obi started his musical journey in summer 2005 with his project Jahstice sound. Since 2005 he was a member of the most influential dub and reggae projects in Croatia and is a current member of Bamwise band.
He learned his sound engineering skills and sound system operating with Digitron Sound System. Now he is working as a sound engineer for many live bands from Croatia and is a main technician for Seasplash Festival.
In early 2017 he started to produce his own music in collaboration with Anja G – a new upcoming female vocal artist who released her first single “The Meaning” with Dr.Obi in 2017. She performed at most important reggae and dub events in Croatia and region in 2017 – Seasplash Festival, Dub Lab, Love & Rage in Italy and many local parties in Zagreb. Her first official EP with two tracks “Bang!Bang!” and “Raggamuffin” is coming out on AmpliFyah Music record label (mixed and mastered by Dr.Obi)
Inspiration for this EP is came from social, political and economic situation but also from everyday life events and that’s how lyrics for “Bang!Bang!” were created. This EP shows how versatile their music is by exploring different styles from roots to digital.
