While we are waiting for next summer and the 19th edition of the Seasplash Festival, which will take place from 15 to 18 July on Martinska, we will overcome these “crisis” days with never published archive recordings of great festival performances. In 2008, Seasplash was held for the 6th time at the Monumenti in Pula, when over 50 artists performed in four festival days. Over the next few weeks, we will premiere recordings of the concerts through two Seasplash streams, on October 29 and November 4. The videos were recorded by the Trip To Zion crew, who did live video projections on the main stage that year
WATCH STREAM HERE ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29 FROM 7PM
In Stream pt. 1 on Wednesday, October 29, we will enjoy a concert of the legendary roots-reggae vocalist Prince Alla, which was his first performance at the Seasplash, accompanied by the Najavibes Band. That year will be remembered for the first performance of the famous New York Ska Jazz Ensemble in Croatia. The local bands ST!llness from Croatia and Sopot from Bosnia and Herzegovina also made their debut that year, as well as the second performance of the Slovenian Red Five Point Star, which we are also watching on Wednesday.
A week later, Stream pt. 2, Wednesday, November 4, brings us the performance of one of the greatest British dub acts – Vibronics, which on that occasion hosted the vocals: Parvez (Dub Factory) and Madu Messenger. Stream also brings us the premiere performance of the Slovenian live dub band Dubzilla and the ska-reggae band from France – Fizcus.
